Interior Decor Trends 2021

This has been a long year for all of us, with most of our time spent indoors. So, it’s only fair
that we look at the most loved interior design trends of 2021.

From the increasing focus on sustainable materials to the mindfulness given to individuality
and uniqueness, we have some great design lessons to learn from these 2021 trends.

Let’s go!

  • The maximalist approach is in: If you are big on colours and prints, it’s your time to shine! Don’t hold back, unleash the creativity within.
  • Place checks and stripes together: These two patterns are often paired with solids or more simplistic elements, but not this year. We’ve played it safe for too long and now our checks and stripes will go together.
  • Explore sculptural furniture: Shapely figures and organic forms are back to the centre stage of your house to create some much-needed drama.
  • Choose a bold primary palette: The best way to give interiors a touch of art is to go bold in colours, and we’re here for it!
  • Wall murals are back: Escapism has been real this year (what with the lockdown and everything), so covering your walls with dreamy, otherworldly murals borders on therapeutic.
  • Houseplants to the rescue (both indoors and outdoors): Regardless of your general enthusiasm for plants, they are now an important element of design. You better hop on this trend for maximum freshness and goodness.
  • Yellow and grey are the colours of the year: In an unusual step, Pantone listed two colours as their shade of the year. And so, yellow and grey testify to the overall unusualness of this year and its trends.
  • Cottagecore for a country theme: Nostalgia and comfort have been kept in mind this year like never before and that’s why folks are trying to bring country home through design.
  • Vintage elements—the more the merrier: Antique, re-purposed, and retro pieces all have their place in a vintage scheme. This style not only adds a mysterious vibe to your place but also a whole lot of personality.
